@Karin - You crack me up! Getting outside and playing with my boys has been my exercise this summer and definitely does wonders for my creativity too! I am also trying to be better at picking salads off a menu so I feel more energized after a meal. Just did that at lunch and I feel great!

You're sooo right! I could easily be glued to the sewing machine for hours on end, and be perfectly happy mentally, but my butt & back give me what-for when I do that!

When I get sore shoulders or stuck on an engineering or design issue, I can usually coerce my dog into going for a walk with me. (HA! that's a JOKE people, a JOKE!) Actually, all I have to do is stand up & walk into the kitchen (where her leash is kept) and she thinks it's time for a walk! Or dinner. Sometimes, if I've got a deadline & I'm stuck, all I have to do is play with her a little bit & my creative mojo comes right back!

And I always, always, ALWAYS feel bloated after a dinner out. Fresh salads & fruit, made at home are always more satisfying to me.

Such an awesome post Holly! I have learned that even running around with the kids can be exercise and make me feel so much better. Thanks for sharing the recipe sites. I have definitely let this go to the wayside a bit this summer. I have always been good about reading for pleasure. I look forward to that escape at the end of my day. Being at home as much as I can really take it's toll. I is so crucial to have those separate times talking and playing with family and friends. Thanks for telling me to chill out about the future! I needed to hear that!

@Tammy - So happy that this struck a chord with you today!

@Patty - Try to squeeze in a little time for some of those rainbows and ponies :)

I've been trying to figure out where to ask: What about health insurance? I carry the benefits in my family and I'm DYING to quit my day job, but for the one missing link of health insurance. I don't even know where to start researching the question! Is there an arts/crafts union I should join? Is it state by state? Do I absolutely have to settle for disaster insurance? Is there an answer in Obamacare? But can they just yank that out from under me, if there is an answer there?
anxiously awaiting any responses or suggestions,
Angela

LOL- I'm always telling my friends who think I live the dream that "it's not all rainbows and ponies." Thanks for the great suggestions! I agree that I am probably the worst boss I've had given that I make myself work without a break and give myself a huge guilt trip for taking a vacation. BAD BOSS!
