I agree with you, Kerry. Its just not possible to do it all and come out on the other side feeling sane.
There have been times, I have taken a break from blogging- but i had to - I didn't have anything worth sharing. I feel its best to refresh yourself and then come back. I feel I can produce better work and thereby its worth sharing.

When you gotta take a break, sometimes you gotta take a break! Even if it's just going one evening or a few hours in the afternoon without any gadgets. I used to work on blogs and my store late into the night, and now I'm enjoying the simple things, of just taking the night off at 8pm. It's helping me feel more refreshed every time I can do it. :)

It is amazing how much we think we can do at the same time Isa! I have definitely learned that quality is more important than quantity. I love working on this blog and talking to everyone so I thought it would be easy. I have a short trip planned with my husband's family later this summer and I now know that I will just plan on taking that time off. It is good to make mistakes so we can learn from them! Good luck on your break!

I understand Kerry! I decided against taking a break with my blog when I went to Rwanda, I wanted to share so much with everyone but I became so stressed especially when the internet connection wouldn't work when I planned to post something. I'm always taking on way too much because I enjoy what I do but I've taken the pressure off with the blog for a bit but only posting when I have something worth sharing. It may not be the best for consistency but my health is more important. I'll also be taking a week off from ALL work this Summer. I won't even check emails or Twitter. I will probably be nervous at first but my family deserve it.

Thank you so much for sharing your post Sarah! I just read it and will start using some of your tips today now that I finally have a little time. It always feels good to relate to someone when life starts feeling overwhelming!

Kerry, it's funny that you should ask! I just wrote a post all about how overwhelmed I am by my to-do list and shared a list of things I'm going to do to make the situation better:

Good for you, taking a little blog break! Several of my friends are doing that right now, and while I miss hearing from them, I'm really glad they're not overloading themselves. Sometimes we have to put our personal lives first! The people who care about us will understand.
